Why does Novashop give a fixed quote instead of a price range?

The construction market runs on price ranges — "roughly €400–700/m²" — which leave the final number unspoken and open a door to scope expansion during the build. Novashop Projekt works on fixed quotes: after the site visit and measurement, we issue a single number that covers scope, materials, and milestone schedule. The price only changes when the client expands scope (for example, "now add the kitchen joinery"). This requires tight upfront measurement and disciplined material ordering from our side, but it separates us from the market and gives the client budget certainty. Approach

The quality of a drywall job is decided before paint — skim coats, corner beads, and substrate flatness determine how a room looks in grazed light a year later. We work to that principle on every job, regardless of scope.

Paintwork is not rushed on drying. A coat takes the time it needs so the next one can go on properly. Spray application is used only where the room allows; otherwise rollers, because the finish has to last, not photograph.

Workflow

Six stages — each closes with a written checklist.

Pre-walk and measurement
Assessment of the existing surfaces, moisture checks, corner geometry. We record defects that cannot be buried under drywall.
Framing
Partitions, ceilings, boxes, niches on metal studs. Acoustic and fire-rating class per the design intent.
Boarding
Right board type per room: moisture-resistant for wet rooms, fire-rated around risers, acoustic for offices.
Skim — multi-coat
Base coat, joints with mesh tape, corner beads, final skim coats. Each coat sanded before the next.
Paint
Primer plus two finish coats. Mineral or acrylic systems per the room. Edges and corners rolled, not sprayed, where room geometry demands it.
Grazed-light acceptance
Final inspection happens under grazed light. Every spot where skim is visible is corrected before handover.

Materials and standards

In drywall and painting, system selection matters as much as installation.

Drywall systems
Knauf or Gyproc — full system from one supplier so joint compound and finish are compatible and the warranty stays whole.
Skim to Q3/Q4
Q3 as default on every public surface. Q4 wherever grazed light hits — near windows, in corridors, in galleries.
Corner beads, no exceptions
Every external corner gets a metal or plastic bead. Bare skim corners are not handed over on any site.
Paint systems
Caparol, Tikkurila, and Sadolin for interiors. Low-VOC systems are the default in living areas.
